Fire Alarm!!

I was suppose to sleep till 9am today but What The Hell. A fire alarm Sounded at 830am. I changed and went downstairs.. Its was so cold. Some people were in shorts >.< Every1 was so pissed!. But no choice if we dun get out and if we got caught = community service to the school ... Haiz kk got to run liao class at 930am ..

Jus finish a long chat with my cousin Shi Ling and YongJie ... Popo say i fat liao but in fact when i weight on the scale i lost weight ... So happy to see that everyone is gd!! I was able to see Baby nic photos too so happy.. He is so cute .. Think by the time i go back he can almost walk already haiz.. So many things to study so little time .. My study method sux too . Not as fast as i use to be cause i lost the momentum due to wasting 1 year 10 months in army >.< should have gone army first straight away after high school.. Nvm lots of catching up to do . Hope i can gain momentum and be as quick as i use to be by next Sem. And BTW i heard use of CTE is 5 bucks per usage WTF man.. Pls update if it is true thanks.

Best Vending Machine Ever!

Jus finish my calculus studies at the dining hall.. During my studies i bought a drink from the vending machine. When the drink that i bought fell down, it hit another drink so 2 two drinks came down. Buy 1 get 1 free lol. Thats not the end of story.. An hour later i saw a group of Americans they went to that machine and start buying drinks and before they input the serial for the drink they give it a gd kick and true enough 2 drinks came down again. But it gets annoying after sometime cause those americans keep kicking and kicking >.<

But what they didnt know is that there is CCTV jus above their head lol >.<

Winter Arriving >.<

Here comes winter >.< . Snow landed today... This morning when i step outside the cars at the car park were covered with snow and there were snow everywhere on the ground. Its was negative 2 to 3 degrees for the whole day today and the sun set really early around 5pm. We even had to set daylight saving last Sunday and rewind our clocks one hour back, First time i encounter day light saving. I hate snow >.< its nice to look but i dun feel good.. Its jus too cold. *~*

Food in Buffalo!

Since day one i arrive i have eaten countless meals and most of em were good. The cakes and ice cream here is jus fantastic.. They have the sushi duck at jasmine restaurant, Cold stone ice cream, Cheesecake factory. Jus too many to name. But best of all is of course the home make food by all my friends. They are jus lovely and skilled cooks. :) Thanks you all of u. Wont forget all the food that you guys made for me. Jus taste too wonderful. The other group of people whom help me survive most is the Gin Gin restaurant. I jus call em 45 mins they arrive at my door with Chinese food and it cost less then 8 bucks per meal and of course they taste really good.They have over 150 Chinese dish to choose from. First week in buffalo!!

Basically didn't do much. First day when i arrive I was pick up by Elfa and Stef. They were so so helpful. After that we went home to pick up Johan and Chi Hoon and then went to TGI Fridays for lunch. I was very happy that i wasn't alone when i first reach buffalo. The food at TGI was good, especially the fried green bean (Photos will all be posted on the food section in the next post). Then went back to their home to have a quick shower. ^^ Elfa Helped me to look for a place to stay for that night and guess what...... She was able to get me Marriott Hotel for a price of 40 plus USD for one night. Original price was 160 USD. I was so happy .. She got it on price line btw. After that day i was house by a handsome and helpful guy call Steve. I stayed in his place for the rest of the week. First night when i arrive at Steve place, we notice some foul smell coming from the living room. So we decide to search where the smell came from. And we FOUND IT!! It came from his room mate bed and GUESS what we found..... A DEAD RAT!!! Steve and i was shocked and then he went to clean up the room. The rest rest of the week was nothing much.. Jus that everyday they cook for me chinese food. I was so pai seh. We did tennis and i sux at it. Elfa and Steff brought me to school to get my labtop, admin card, Bank account and my phone done. Also they bring me around buffalo and i jus love the supermarket here they open 24 hours and we did some midnight shopping at Tops and Wegmans. We also went to a fair about half an hour drive away. I forgot the name of the place haha. They brought me to Walden to a big shopping center here went to Transit to catch a movie and we played poker every night. Thats all that i recall the rest i forgot. >.<

My Amazing Race To Buffalo!!

After going into the gate, made some phone calls to some of my best friends in Singapore and i boarded the northwest flight bound for Narita Airport in Tokyo. Flight took off at 6am and reach Narita Airport at 2pm the next day. The flight took longer then expected. Total flight time was 8 hours. Was planning to buy Mac D at the airport but guess what when it is my turn to order the food, i found out that i dun have any yen on me and that the exchange rate totally sux and i only have USD with me so i gave up and went to the gate for my connecting flight. Then i found out that it was 245pm as Japan had a GMT +9 instead of Singapore GMT +8 and i notice the time different on my watch.. And so i ran as fast as possible to the gate and board the aircraft. That was a close call to observe GMT at all time when u travel >.< Took the next flight from Portland to Minneapolis flight time 4 hours. When i arrive i notice that the next plane i was suppose to catch had already took off. The airline made new arrangement for me and gave me a 50 USD food voucher. They house me in an airport hotel. Arrive at Days Inn and i order 50 USD worth of food and try to finish as much as i can haha. Below are photos of Minneapolis airport, Days inn and the food i ate be4 i go to bed lol. Next day woke up at 530am took a quick shower and went to the airport to catch the flight from Minneapolis to Detroit. Flight time was 1 hour. After i arrive i found out that the flight from Minneapolis to Detroit was delayed again... omg!! If this delays i am not going on the next flight again. When i reach Detroit, i heard the announcement " Last call for all passengers leaving to buffalo from Detroit and it was my flight!! I checked the gate number and to my worst horror i was at gate 9 and the buffalo flight is at gate 86!!!! and i only got 5 mins to reach there.. so i ran and ran and ran and while running i took a couple of pic below and i saw a monorail within the airport " inside!!" i was amazed that was so cooool. By the time i reach the gate it was already close i was like wtf Gonna miss it again!! they they ask me if i am suppose to be on the flight. I shouted yes! and they say they coms the plane to open and let me in. So i was the last passenger on board that flight . So fortunate... After traveling another hour . I finally reach Buffalo my destination!! at 12pm Sunday afternoon. And i was just in time to be picked up by my friends from UB Stef and Elfa. So fortunate if not i will be so pai seh to face em if i am late !!

Changi Airport on AUG 10th 2007

Arrive on AUG 10th 2007, 330am at changi airport. Went straight to the Northwest check in counter to check in my bags. They told me my bags was over sized so my mum had to repack everything on the spot. Luckily she was there if not i would have taken a longer time to repack it or worst come to worst i might have to throw some stuff away .. After check in i waited for the gate to open and i heard a familiar voice shouted at me. I turn back and was shocked... My whole family was here. Everyone was here. Even my grandma was here. When i saw em i cried on the spot cause at the beginning i asked them not to come as it would be hard for me to leave them without crying. But they did!! Was so happy thou. So many tears at the waiting area. So sad as i know that after going into the gate i would not be seeing my close family members for a long long long time ... Thanks you to all my cousins, aunt, uncle, sis, bro, grandma, dad and mum for being there for me.

Think it is time to for me to update everyone since now i have only a couple hours of free time before i get back to studies again hehe. I am gonna start from the day i left on AUG 10th till now >.<. I did many things the day since i left Singapore. Gonna do it on separate post ^^

Missing Singapore

How i wish today i can jus board a flight back to singapore and put my studies aside.. ^^ Its tough to get back on track especially when you lose ur momentum in studies.. I am missing everyone back home.. The yummy food that i can never get over here >.< This is my first post, really dun have much time to post something since i arrived here. Most of my time is spend on studies and making new friends.
